STUDENT TESTIMONIALS
Jelena Stojanovic
Marketing and Sales Function Director
Telekom Srbija
Continual improvement of professional knowledge is essential for achieving success in any line of work.
For this reason, Telekom Srbija has been sending its employees to the University of New York in Belgrade
for a second year in a row. As a distinct advantage of studying at UNYB I would highlight the quality of
the educational program which gives you an insight into various aspects of a modern management structure
and operations of leading multinational companies. The fact that the lecturers at UNYB are competent specialists
coming from renowned universities worldwide who apart from their abundant academic knowledge also have
extensive experience in the management of successful global companies, is invaluable. Nothing less important
for me are the connections I made at UNYB with other students, professionals from leading companies operating
in Serbia and the exchange of experience with them.
Tatjana Vuckovic
Deputy CEO
IKOM Cable and Broadband
Honored as one of the TOP 50 most outstanding individuals in the broadband and pay TV industries by Digital TV
Europe, EURO 50
During my long-lasting career in the expanding Serbian telecommunications industry, I encounter challenges on a
daily basis and frequently need to make last-minute decisions. Under such circumstances, efficient critical
thinking skills and an "outside the box" perception becomes ones best trump card. I enrolled in the University
of New York in Belgrade MBA studies program primarily for that reason, knowing I will gain adequate theoretical
knowledge to upgrade and enrich my practical skills.

Worked as an Accountant
European Payments Council, Brussels before moving to Belgrade
UNYB not only offers me the opportunity to learn and broaden my knowledge but also is a great networking environment
where you can meet people from various backgrounds and make long lasting friendships as well as new business
opportunities. I look forward to completing the program and applying all the new skills to the workplace.
Danijela Mirkov-Arkula
Investment Sector Manager
MK Group
Before my experience with UNYB, I held a University Degree in Economics obtained at the UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD,
majoring in International and Home Trade with grade average of 9.09. Professionally, I had clear record of successful
accomplishments in the field of trade, negotiations and communication, efficiently achieving given selling targets.
On the other hand, I lacked experience and skills in the financial field. This proved to be quite an inconvenience since
it held back the further development of my career. However, the knowledge I obtained at UNYB provided me with the deep
understanding of certain financial issues and matters regarding evaluation of the companies and their operating activities.
This caused the immediate advancement of my career, even before graduating. I was the purchase director in one company - now,
a few months later, I'm member of the managing board at the same company, closely monitoring their overall activities;
recommending corrective measures and overtaking those approved by the Managing Board.
Today, being the member of the investment team within my company, my job can be divided in two basic segments: before and
after the acquisition of a targeted company. Before the acquisition - I'm doing due diligence. After the acquisition - I'm
member of the team restructuring the company. The knowledge obtained at UNYB made me qualified enough for these complex and
sophisticated business activities that I am now involved in.
Igor Markovic
Head of International Department and Marketing
The Institute for Transportation CIP Ltd
My name is Igor Markovic and I have been working as a Head of the International and Marketing Department of the Institute
for Transportation CIP, Ltd. since December 2007. Since assuming this position as well as before that, I had to face some
new and difficult challenges of market principles of business on a daily basis. I often found myself in situations when I
had to solve problems that required a lot of knowledge and experience. I was aware of the fact that such experience and
knowledge can be acquired only if I continued with my education, and so, after weeks of searching for the right faculty,
I chose to enroll in the MBA program of the University of New York in Belgrade in January 2008.
And now, after I have spent almost a year at this faculty, and after taking courses and passing 10 exams, I can only
say that I am more than satisfied with the quality of lecturing, the choice of professors and the teaching approach.
The lectures are focused on the very essence of the matter, supported by real life examples and covering the same fields
of knowledge which are studied at other universities world wide. The students are required to be precise, clear and
efficient at performing their tasks. I sometimes find it difficult to follow the scope and tempo of the lecturing because
of my everyday duties, but I see that as a challenge of the program which prepares us for even the most difficult situation.
In short, I am not only satisfied with UNYB, but it has definitely exceeded my expectations.
